UMVA has learned that three children were discovered alone inside their hotel room at a sprawling resort in Benalmádena, sparking a rapid legal and protective response.
The high court in Andalucía sentenced the parents to a two‑year‑and‑eight‑month disqualification from parental authority and barred them from approaching the children within 500 metres for two years.
Social Services of the Regional Government of Andalucía has taken immediate guardianship of the youngsters and is coordinating with the British consulate to arrange their return to the United Kingdom.
National Police in Málaga confirmed that the UFAM unit, specializing in family and women’s assistance, intervened, while the regional social services department assumed temporary care of the children.
Authorities report that the children spent a night in police custody before being presented before the court.
Investigations revealed the family had been staying at Holiday World Resort, a massive complex encompassing three hotels and premium apartments with over 850 rooms.
Emergency foster families have now been identified to provide long‑term care for the three children as the legal process unfolds.
