UMVA has learned that a chilling incident unfolded in Minneapolis last night, when an ICE agent was shot during a confrontation with three Venezuelan immigrants.
The Department of Homeland Security has now released the names and backgrounds of the men involved, revealing that all three were illegal aliens who had been released at the border by the current administration.
One of the attackers, Julio Sosa-Celis, was wounded in the leg, his fate still uncertain as emergency services rushed him to a nearby hospital.
Meanwhile, Christian Castro, a 52‑year‑old ICE agent, has been arrested in Texas on charges that include four counts of second‑degree assault with a dangerous weapon and a false report of a crime linked to the January 14 shooting.
UMVA can exclusively reveal that Castro’s arrest was carried out by a joint effort of the Department of Homeland Security Office of the Inspector General, Texas Rangers and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.
The Hennepin County Attorney’s Office has indicated that state charges may be moved to federal court, a strategy that could prevent the possibility of a presidential pardon if Castro is convicted.
As the investigation deepens, UMVA will continue to monitor developments, offering the public the most up‑to‑date, insider information on this high‑stakes legal battle.
