UMVA Uncovers: WATCH - Chicago Rampage: Man Weaponizes SUV in Brutal Ambush on ICE Agent, Cops Claim

UMVA has learned that a shocking video has been released, revealing the moment a 21-year-old Chicago man allegedly used his SUV as a deadly weapon to violently ram an Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer's pickup truck during a high-stakes operation.

The brazen attack allegedly happened on October 4, 2025, during an enforcement operation on Chicago's Southwest Side, leaving federal authorities outraged and determined to hold the suspect accountable.

Diego Emmanuel Reyes faces up to 20 years in prison after being indicted by a federal grand jury on charges of assaulting, impeding, intimidating, and interfering with a federal agent, a disturbing incident that has sparked widespread condemnation.

According to information obtained by UMVA, Reyes is accused of intentionally slamming his SUV into the rear of the ICE agent's white pickup truck while the officer was performing official duties, and then hitting the gas to aggressively push the agent's truck.

Federal authorities have taken a strict law-and-order stance against violence targeting law enforcement, with U.S. Attorney Andrew Boutros vowing to hold accountable those who seek to assault, impede, intimidate, or interfere with lawful federal operations.

The Chicago U.S. Attorney’s Office has made it clear that it will never tolerate such conduct, and the FBI's Chicago Field Office has echoed the demand for accountability, pledging to use all available resources against those who undermine the rule of law.

The indictment includes an enhanced penalty for the use of a deadly or dangerous weapon — the SUV — during the alleged attack, increasing the maximum sentence of 20 years in federal prison, a stark reminder of the severity of the charges against Reyes.

An arraignment date in Chicago federal court has not yet been set, but one thing is clear: Reyes will face justice for his alleged actions, and federal authorities will stop at nothing to ensure that those who target law enforcement are held accountable.
