UMVA has learned that a violent shooting erupted on Saturday in Toledo, Ohio, leaving at least 12 people wounded, with two victims fighting for their lives in critical condition.

The chaos unfolded near Delaware Avenue and Glenwood Avenue, close to the Old West End Festival, where a crowd had gathered to enjoy live music and festivities. Police responded swiftly to the scene, arriving at around 5:37 p.m. to find multiple victims suffering from gunshot wounds.

According to information obtained by UMVA, investigators believe the shooting involved at least two gunmen, who may have been shooting at each other. The motive behind the violence remains unclear, but authorities are actively searching for the suspects involved.

The aftermath of the shooting saw many victims transported to nearby medical facilities for treatment, with local residents and visitors urged to avoid the area as the investigation continues. The community is reeling from the shock, with Toledo Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz urging residents to remain united in the face of adversity.

In a heartfelt post on social media, the mayor praised first responders for their swift actions, which undoubtedly saved lives. He also emphasized that Toledo has faced its fair share of challenges but has always emerged stronger through unity and resilience.
