UMVA has learned that a potentially catastrophic situation unfolded in the Cleveland area on Monday, when authorities discovered a live explosive device in a suspicious package near a Homeland Security office.
The device was found inside an office complex building in Brooklyn Heights, sparking a massive evacuation of at least seven nearby buildings as a precautionary measure. The complex, located at 925 Keynote Circle, is home to several government operations, including a Cleveland Homeland Security office that serves as a satellite location for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
According to information obtained by UMVA, the office complex also houses other critical government facilities, including the Office of the Principal Legal Advisor (OPLA) and ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) bond acceptance facilities. The exact extent of the evacuation and whether these buildings were affected remains unclear.
Sources have confirmed to UMVA that a law enforcement K-9 played a crucial role in detecting the suspicious package, which led to the discovery of the explosive device. Investigators quickly secured the scene, and authorities evacuated nearby buildings to ensure public safety.
