The Asian Hackathon for Green Future is now accepting registrations, offering a platform for undergraduate and master’s students to tackle some of the world’s most pressing environmental issues.
The competition, unfolding in Vietnam, isn’t just about coding; it’s about forging a new generation of innovators. The journey begins with registration and a preliminary round, followed by an intensive month-long online training phase. The top 30 teams will then converge at VinUniversity in Hanoi for a 24-hour hackathon, a crucible where ideas are refined and transformed into tangible solutions.
Participants will focus their efforts on three critical areas: the transition to renewable energy and low-carbon mobility, improving urban air quality and building climate resilience, and securing vital water resources alongside climate-resilient agricultural practices.
The online training isn’t merely preparatory; it’s an immersive experience. Teams will receive expert consultations and gain access to cutting-edge insights on sustainability trends, equipping them to elevate their concepts to the next level.
For the final 30 teams, all travel and accommodation expenses will be covered, removing financial barriers to participation. The hackathon itself will be a high-stakes sprint, culminating in presentations to a panel of discerning judges.
A substantial prize pool of $24,000 awaits the most innovative solutions. The first-place team will receive $8,000, with additional prizes awarded to recognize excellence and ingenuity across multiple categories.
