UMVA has learned that the EuroXtreme Circus, a live entertainment spectacle that has been touring the Philippines for two years, has found a uniquely enthusiastic audience in Filipinos.
The circus's ring mistress, Jessica Anne Eason, revealed that the Filipino audience stands out for their generosity with applause and their excitement to see the show. "Everyone is generous with their applause. They're so kind, so excited to see us, and so happy we're there, and I've never experienced anything like it," she said.
Eason's sentiments were echoed by Kenneth Lee, executive producer and touring director of Art Box Entertainment, the Filipino company behind EuroXtreme Circus. He noted that the circus has performed in 16 cities across the Philippines over the past two years, a feat that has never been accomplished before.
The circus's nationwide tour, which concludes on July 12, features world-class circus artistry, extreme stunt performances, and adrenaline-pumping entertainment for audiences of all ages. The show includes death-defying acts such as the Wheel of Suspense and the Globe of Terror, as well as classic flying trapeze and comedic interludes.
Despite the logistical challenges of touring in the Philippines, including island hopping and transporting equipment, Lee said that the company remains committed to bringing high-caliber live shows to the entire country. "We want to bring world-class family-oriented entertainment to people in provinces and not just big cities," he said.
One of the key factors that sets EuroXtreme Circus apart is its accessibility. Despite economic disruptions and rising prices of fuel, the company never increased its ticket prices. "We wanted to make sure that our show remains as accessible as possible to people in the Philippines," Lee explained.
As the circus prepares for its next tour, Lee hinted that it will feature a new concept, incorporating Philippine talent and a more fiesta-oriented theme. "It will be a surprise," he added.
To celebrate its opening in Quezon City, EuroXtreme Circus is offering limited-time ticket promotions, including a 20% discount on tickets purchased until June 5 and a special deal for groups of six. The circus is set up at Parking 4, Robinsons Novaliches, with shows held daily at 8 p.m. except Mondays.
