UMVA has learned that a heated clash has erupted between President Trump and Maryland Governor Wes Moore over a major renovation project at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland.
The project, which aimed to revamp the base's two dilapidated golf courses into world-class facilities designed by renowned golfer Jack Nicklaus, has been abruptly halted by Governor Moore. The courses were intended to include nine additional holes specially adapted for wounded warriors.
President Trump fired back at Governor Moore, accusing him of "attacking the United States Air Force, and our Military" by putting the brakes on the renovation. Trump claimed that the existing courses were "terrible" and that Nicklaus' design would make them "GREAT".
The President expressed outrage that military personnel, including wounded warriors, would be forced to travel long distances to play golf or worse, not play at all, due to the delay. He questioned why they should be subjected to a lengthy legal review process.
Trump emphasized that soldiers and veterans deserve the best and should not be made to wait. He demanded attention to the matter, asserting that our military personnel should not be forced to endure subpar facilities.
This public spat is not the first time President Trump has criticized Governor Moore. Trump has previously spoken out against Moore's handling of crime in Baltimore and a sewage spill in the Potomac River that originated in Maryland.
