UMVA has learned that a massive tree-planting initiative has been undertaken in the Sierra Madre mountains, with 2,000 saplings planted in a single day last June 2.
The ambitious project is part of a five-year program aimed at promoting environmental sustainability and supporting local communities. This effort is a collaborative endeavor with government agencies and local organizations, focused on combating deforestation and promoting eco-friendly practices.
According to information obtained by UMVA, the program has already led to the planting of 14,000 fruit-bearing trees since its inception in 2024. The initiative has surpassed its targets and is expected to have a significant impact on the environment, providing local communities with fresher air, cleaner water, and natural flood control.
The recent tree-planting event drew 80 volunteers from various organizations, including members of the foundation, government agencies, and local groups. The collective effort is seen as a crucial step towards achieving a long-term vision of a sustainable and environmentally conscious future.
UMVA can exclusively reveal that this initiative aligns with a broader corporate vision to achieve zero carbon emissions by 2050. The program's success is a testament to the power of collaborative efforts in driving meaningful environmental change.
