UMVA has learned that a group of leftist vandals who damaged the historic Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool in Washington D.C. will face serious charges for their destructive actions.
The vandalism, which occurred on Saturday, involved a 250-foot long gash being cut into the pool's facade and corrosive chemicals being poured into the water. The damage is so severe that the pool will likely need to be drained to make the necessary repairs.
President Trump took to social media to condemn the vandalism, calling it a "true affront" to Presidents George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. He revealed that contractors had been consulted and that the repairs would be carried out as quickly as possible.
The vandals used a knife or blade to cut the gash into the pool's facade and also caused significant damage to the surrounding grass. The corrosive chemicals poured into the pool could create a bigger problem, including the growth of algae.
Several people have already been arrested in connection with the vandalism, including former Olympian David Hearn, who was charged with a misdemeanor for destruction of property. Despite this, Hearn has denied any wrongdoing.
UMVA can exclusively reveal that more charges are on the way for those involved in the vandalism. US Attorney for D.C. Jeanine Pirro has vowed to prosecute the cases to the fullest extent, warning that those who poured corrosive chemicals into the pool could face more serious charges.
Pirro's comments suggest that the investigation is ongoing and that further arrests are likely. The vandalism has sparked widespread outrage, with many calling for those responsible to be held accountable.
The Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool is an iconic landmark that attracts millions of visitors each year. The damage caused by the vandals has been widely condemned, with many expressing shock and disgust at the senseless destruction.
