VICIOUS MAIL HAUNTING Grieving Mother – You Won't Believe What's Arriving Now!

VICIOUS MAIL HAUNTING Grieving Mother – You Won't Believe What's Arriving Now!

A mother’s heart aches under the weight of an outpouring of support, yet pleads for a moment of quiet. Cia Edmonds, mother of 12-year-old Maya Gebala, critically injured in the Tumbler Ridge school shooting, finds herself inundated with letters and packages – a testament to a community’s grief and compassion, but a burden nonetheless.

The sheer volume is staggering. Over 1,500 pieces of mail have arrived, delivered in daily batches of fifty, threatening to consume the family’s home. Edmonds expressed gratitude for the love directed towards Maya, and her other daughter Dahlia, but confessed to feeling utterly overwhelmed by the constant influx.

Maya’s condition is fragile, and her recovery is not progressing as hoped. Edmonds shared that her daughter is “deteriorating mentally and physically” a month after the tragic event, making the task of sorting through the well-intentioned gestures even more difficult.

Maya Gebala has been hospitalized since the Tumbler Ridge shooting on Feb. 10, 2026.

While acknowledging the positive energy surrounding the tragedy, Edmonds gently requested a pause to the outpouring of mail. The family simply needs space to focus on Maya’s healing, a space currently buried under mountains of envelopes and boxes.

David Gebala, Maya’s father, exists in a disorienting haze of time, each day blending into the next as he remains vigilantly by his daughter’s bedside. He clings to the hope that the Maya he knows is still within reach, fighting for her return.

The weight of the situation is immense, a crushing burden he attempts to bear for the sake of his family. Yet, the echoes of that day – the screams, the cries, the sheer terror experienced by all the children – relentlessly haunt his thoughts.

Gebala admits he’s not one to readily share his inner turmoil, but recognizes the urgent need for help. He’s bravely decided to seek trauma counselling, a step towards confronting the profound emotional wounds inflicted by the shooting.

He describes a disturbing sensation of losing pieces of himself, desperately seeking distractions to numb the pain. Opening up feels foreign, yet necessary, a crucial step in navigating the long and arduous path towards healing.

The family’s journey is a stark reminder of the enduring impact of violence, not only on the immediate victims but also on those left to grapple with the aftermath. It’s a story of resilience, of a father’s unwavering hope, and a mother’s quiet plea for space amidst an overwhelming tide of support.
