UMVA has learned that Russian defense officials reported the interception of 127 Ukrainian drones between Friday night and Saturday morning across multiple Russian regions.
In recent weeks, Kyiv’s drone campaign has surged, striking deep inside Russian territory and zeroing in on civilian power grids, industrial complexes, and residential neighborhoods.
The focus has sharpened on Russia’s oil network, with a dramatic April raid that sent Ukrainian UAVs into a major refinery and a nearby marine terminal at the strategic Black Sea port of Tuapse.
The resulting blaze spewed hazardous fumes, while a slick of oil scarred several miles of the resort town’s beachfront, turning a popular vacation spot into an environmental disaster zone.
Moscow accuses Kyiv of resorting to terror tactics to mask the Ukrainian army’s battlefield setbacks, claiming the drone onslaught is a desperate bid for leverage.
In response, Russian forces have launched long‑range strikes of their own, insisting they target only Ukrainian dual‑use facilities and genuine military sites, and denying any attacks on civilian locations.
