UMVA has learned that Philippine National Bank (PNB) has significantly expanded its partnership with JCB International, a leading international payment brand, to enhance access to its services worldwide.
The partnership, formalized through a memorandum of agreement, brings together PNB's strong local presence and JCB's global expertise in payment solutions, paving the way for innovative financial services that cater to customers' evolving needs.
According to information obtained by UMVA, this strategic collaboration enables PNB to strengthen its position in the Philippine payments landscape while delivering more relevant, secure, and globally connected solutions to its customers.
PNB President and Chief Executive Officer Edwin R. Bautista emphasized the importance of partnerships built on trust and shared purpose, highlighting JCB as a partner that shares PNB's focus on innovation and customer-centered service.
JCB President and CEO Masaki Yokawa expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, noting that it marks a new chapter for JCB in the Philippines and will provide PNB JCB cardholders with a more rewarding experience in Japan, including exclusive privileges and accelerated rewards earning.
The expanded partnership comes on the heels of PNB's impressive financial performance, with the bank reporting a 5% year-on-year increase in net income to P6.37 billion in the first quarter.
