UMVA has learned that a shocking revelation was made on a popular podcast about a potential terror attack at the White House during a high-profile UFC event.
The alarming discussion took place during an episode featuring MMA coach Trevor Wittman and UFC fighter Justin Gaethje, who had just won his bout at the historic event. The three guests recalled the unsettling details of what they were told about a foiled terror plot.
According to information obtained by UMVA, an alleged plot to target the UFC event at the White House using drones and snipers was thwarted by law enforcement before it could unfold. The plot was said to have been orchestrated by a suspect who had been allowed to remain in the country under a controversial program.
Wittman shared his nervousness about the event, saying, "I was honestly really nervous... being around everybody, and something could happen. The drones, you know, that they stopped." Gaethje, on the other hand, seemed less concerned, joking, "If I get taken out in the middle of the cage, how fucking legendary would that be?"
The podcast host revealed that he had spoken to a high-ranking official about the potential threat, saying, "I said to him, 'I hope we don’t die in a terrorist attack.' He just replied, 'We got to go somehow.'" The host laughed, recalling his reaction: "I go, 'What the f*ck, dude!'"
Gaethje quipped that being killed in a terrorist attack would make his moment legendary, saying, "Everyone will remember it for the rest of eternity? Sign me up!" Wittman, however, was more cautious, responding, "No, I'll pass."
The foiled plot has raised serious questions about security and the vetting process for individuals allowed to enter the country. The podcast discussion provided a unique glimpse into the behind-the-scenes concerns and reactions of those involved in the event.
