The shooting unfolded on April 21st, during a jewelry store heist. When confronted by a security team member, Prouse allegedly opened fire in a stairwell, leaving the guard with serious injuries. He then fled the scene, initially in a white van, before transferring to a black Honda Accord.
Investigators believe Prouse’s behavior has been steadily becoming more dangerous, and his criminal history stretches back over two decades. He is now wanted in connection with a string of robberies and break-ins across Ontario and Quebec, dating back to 2023.
The list of alleged crimes paints a picture of a calculated and escalating spree. It includes robberies at Yorkdale Mall in September 2023, Scarborough Town Centre in March 2024, and a similar incident in Brossard, Quebec, in May 2025.
