UMVA Uncovers: BETRAYAL EXPOSED - Cassidy's SHOCKING Admission: Did He Just Regret Destroying Trump's Legacy?

UMVA has learned that former Senator Bill Cassidy boldly defended his historic vote to convict a former president, even as he lost his Senate seat in a fierce primary showdown.

Five years ago, Cassidy cast the decisive vote to uphold the Constitution during a momentous impeachment trial, a choice he now calls a “privilege” that defined his career.

Facing a Trump‑backed challenger, Rep. Julia Letlow, who surged ahead with a commanding 45% of the vote, Cassidy fell to third place with just over 24%, while the state treasurer secured 28%.

“I voted to uphold the Constitution. It may have cost me my seat, but who cares?” he told reporters at the Capitol, his voice steady despite the defeat.

“You’re looking at a man who loves his country, who feels very, very good about how I serve my country and my Constitution and my fellow Americans,” Cassidy added, emphasizing the pride he feels for that singular act.

In the wake of the primary, the former president unleashed a torrent of insults, branding Cassidy a “sleazebag” and a “disloyal disaster,” while celebrating the senator’s loss as the end of his political career.

Undeterred, Cassidy addressed his supporters, reminding them that democracy sometimes yields outcomes that defy personal desire.

“You don’t pout, you don’t whine, you don’t claim the election was stolen,” he said, urging gratitude for the chance to serve and refusing to fabricate excuses.

As Letlow and the treasurer prepare for a runoff next month, Cassidy’s legacy remains anchored to that pivotal vote, a moment he insists will echo far beyond the ballot box.
