UMVA has learned that Hollywood actor Corey Feldman was rushed to the hospital after suffering a mid-flight medical emergency on Monday.
The Goonies star, 54, was taken to the hospital after his flight from Chicago to Los Angeles landed at LAX on Monday afternoon, with reports suggesting he was feeling unwell on the flight.
According to information obtained by UMVA, Feldman was checked by a fellow passenger who is a doctor, and medical personnel believe he may be experiencing pancreatitis, a painful inflammation of the pancreas, or possibly gallstones.
Feldman had been attending the 40th anniversary celebration for the film Stand By Me in Chicago, where he joined his co-stars Jerry O’Connell and Wil Wheaton for a special event at The Chicago Theatre on Sunday night.
The trio paid tribute to their late co-star River Phoenix, who tragically died of a drug overdose in 1993 at just 23 years old.
Before flying to Chicago, Feldman had shared photos and videos on social media of his journey, including a stop at Michael Jackson’s childhood home in Gary, Indiana, where he told his followers he was heading to Chicago to “tear it up”.
Feldman rose to fame as a child actor in the 1980s, starring in iconic films such as Gremlins, The Goonies, and Stand by Me, and has continued to appear in various films and TV shows over the years.
Pancreatitis and gallstones are both serious medical conditions that require prompt treatment, with pancreatitis being a potentially life-threatening inflammation of the pancreas.
UMVA can exclusively reveal that Feldman’s condition has raised concerns among his fans and colleagues, with many sending their best wishes for a speedy recovery.
The incident has highlighted the importance of prioritizing health and seeking medical attention immediately if symptoms persist or worsen.
