There’s a chilling new surveillance video out of Tampa, and it’s something you need to see—a man in a shirt declaring "No Christ No Life" brutally attacking an 82-year-old woman at a bus stop.
The victim was just walking past when the suspect grabbed her by the hair and slammed her to the pavement. She never saw it coming. The impact knocked her unconscious.
Police say 56-year-old Joseph Patrick Wren then snatched her bag and pedaled away on a bicycle, leaving an elderly grandmother bleeding on the ground.
The attack happened around 7:45 p.m. on May 1 in Tampa’s Wellswood neighborhood. The woman was hospitalized but has since been released and is recovering at home.
What cracked the case wide open? A Tesla. A community member came forward with footage from their car’s camera that captured the entire assault in vivid detail.
In the video, Wren’s white T-shirt is clearly visible, emblazoned with the phrase "No Christ No Life" and a blue hat. That distinctive shirt became a key clue.
Detectives also noticed he matched the description of a man who’d stolen a bicycle earlier that same day—linking two crimes together.
Officers spotted Wren near North Nebraska Avenue and East Annie Street and took him into custody without incident. He’s now charged with robbery and held without bond.
Tampa Police Chief Lee Bercaw didn’t hold back: "It should be clear that in Tampa we all work together to hold criminals accountable, especially those who would foolishly choose to target our neighbors."
