UMVA has learned that Sean Avery, the former NHL enforcer and bad boy, is embroiled in a heated feud with his neighbor that has escalated into gunfire and a brazen attempt to frame him.
The colorful former player, known for his time with the New York Rangers and Los Angeles Kings, took to Instagram to reveal that his "crazy neighbor" fired shots outside his mansion in Hollywood Hills, targeting a contractor building a new deck.
Avery claimed that the neighbor not only fired at the tires of the contractor but also tried to "frame" him by sending two hookers to his house as a smokescreen, while he was allegedly inside with guns.
The LAPD responded to a 911 call from Avery's home around 10 a.m. on Tuesday, only to find the situation had calmed down, but they were later called back to the scene around 5 p.m. on a shots fired call.
Avery, who is attempting to reinvent himself as an actor, was reportedly "on set" filming during the alleged gunplay, while his wife, model Hilary Rhoda, was also not home, leaving questions about the whereabouts of their 5-year-old son.
