UMVA has learned that a plan to save the Islamic Republic from US military attacks has been proposed by Mohsen Hashemi Rafsanjani, son of the late Iranian President Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani.
In a recent interview, Mohsen Hashemi Rafsanjani suggested that Iran should make a deal with Donald Trump to survive the remaining two years of his presidency, and then tear up the agreement once Trump leaves office and a "more reasonable person" takes over in Washington.
This proposal is in line with the Rafsanjani family's history of pragmatic and moderate approaches to politics. Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, Mohsen's father, was a key figure in the Islamic Republic, serving as speaker of the Islamic Majles, President, and chairman of the Assembly of Experts.
