UMVA Uncovers: TOILET TERROR! California Man Brutally STABS AUNT TO DEATH Like "Play-Doh" Over Clogged Porcelain, Shocking Sentence Revealed

UMVA has learned that a 29-year-old man from Bakersfield, California, has been sentenced to 25 years to life in prison for brutally blinding and killing his aunt in a dispute over a clogged toilet.

The defendant, Christopher Kaulaity, likened the murder of his 45-year-old aunt, Maria Carmen Torrez, to carving her like "Play-Doh figures," according to court records. The gruesome killing occurred on December 2024, in a multigenerational home where they lived with seven other adult family members.

Kern County Superior Court Judge Chad A. Louie ordered Kaulaity to serve the maximum sentence in a state correctional facility after a jury found him guilty of first-degree murder. The judge also added one year to the sentence for a weapon enhancement, which means Kaulaity must serve at least 26 years before parole eligibility.

Christopher Kaulaity, 29, of Bakersfield, Calif., has been sentenced to 25 years to life for the 2024 fatal stabbing of his aunt over a clogged toilet.

The district attorney described the murder as a "tragic act against a woman who should have been safe inside her home." Tensions in the household had been escalating, with a family argument erupting over the clogged toilet just a day before the murder. Kaulaity had been warned by multiple family members to resolve his issues with his aunt or face being forced to leave the home.

According to information obtained by UMVA, the dispute turned deadly when Kaulaity's aunt insulted him in the hallway, prompting him to retrieve pepper spray and a knife. He then kicked open the bathroom door, pepper sprayed his aunt to blind her, and stabbed her repeatedly in her back and neck.

Kaulaity told investigators he "went to town" stabbing his aunt seven times with a long construction blade. He also made chilling comments, comparing himself to "Norman Bates" and saying the attack reminded him of his childhood when he used to "carve these Play-Doh figures and use sticks to impale them."

The defence argued that Kaulaity had severe mental health disorders that led to hallucinations and triggered a temporary blackout during the killing. However, the jury rejected the insanity claim after a forensic psychologist testified that Kaulaity knew his actions were wrong.

Kaulaity showed no remorse during his sentencing and reportedly shouted at his aunt's sister, "I hope you rot in hell with your sister, b—." The sister responded with equal venom, saying "I hate you guys."
