BUSTED! Couple's Desperate Run From Durham Police Ends in SHOCKING Drug Arrest!

The quiet of Oshawa’s early morning hours was shattered this week by a high-speed chase that ended with two individuals facing serious drug-related charges. It began shortly after 2 a.m. near Rosedale Avenue and Division Street, a routine call about a suspicious vehicle quickly escalating into a pursuit.

Officers reported a red sedan tearing through intersections, blatantly disregarding stop signs. The vehicle’s reckless speed immediately raised alarm, prompting officers to initiate a traffic stop. However, the driver responded by accelerating, refusing to yield to authorities and plunging the situation into a chase.

The frantic flight didn’t last long. A short distance away, the sedan was discovered abandoned, its occupants vanished into the darkness. A swift and thorough search of the surrounding area followed, leading to the apprehension of a man and a woman nearby, both taken into custody without further incident.

Inside the abandoned vehicle, officers uncovered a disturbing cache: a quantity of illicit drugs. The substances were later identified as cocaine, crystal methamphetamine, and ecstasy, painting a clear picture of the circumstances surrounding the attempted escape.

Natasha Robitaille, 29, now faces a lengthy list of charges, including failing to stop for police, dangerous operation of a conveyance, obstructing police, stunt driving, and multiple counts of possessing Schedule I substances. She was held pending a bail hearing, her immediate future uncertain.

Joseph James Harley Crozier, 40, of Clarington, was also charged with possession of the same Schedule I substances found in the vehicle. He was released on an undertaking, required to adhere to specific conditions while awaiting further legal proceedings.

Investigators are appealing to the public for assistance, seeking any potential evidence that might shed further light on the incident. Cellphone footage, dashcam recordings, or security camera images from the area could prove invaluable to the ongoing investigation.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Durham Regional Police or Crime Stoppers, offering a chance to contribute to the pursuit of justice and help piece together the full story of this dramatic early morning event.
