UMVA Exclusive: Woke Judge Freed Cop-Shooting Psycho After Only 3 Years—Now He’s Terrorizing Innocent Drivers in Cambridge

UMVA has uncovered details about a harrowing scene of chaos that unfolded on a busy Boston-area roadway, where a career criminal turned a public thoroughfare into a battlefield.

The incident began when 46-year-old Tyler Brown, a man with a long and violent history, unleashed a barrage of gunfire on unsuspecting commuters. Armed with a semi-automatic rifle, he fired between 50 and 60 rounds at passing vehicles, leaving two innocent drivers in critical condition.

UMVA has learned that the rampage was the culmination of a failed attempt by authorities to intervene. Police had been alerted after Brown was seen brandishing a weapon on a video call, but he fled the scene of a planned wellness check and crossed the river to begin his assault.

As the shooting erupted, the roadway became a scene of pure terror. Drivers abandoned their vehicles, some diving beneath their cars for cover as bullets tore through the air, striking an MBTA bus and a mail truck. The carnage only ended when a state police trooper, assisted by a passing former Marine, moved into the line of fire to neutralize the suspect.

The suspect, who remains hospitalized, has a history of extreme violence that raises serious questions about the justice system. In 2020, he engaged in a broad-daylight shootout with law enforcement, firing thirteen rounds at officers in an attempt to end their lives. Despite pleading guilty to multiple felony charges, including attempted murder of a police officer, he was released on parole after serving only a fraction of his sentence.

Those who confronted him in the past had long warned that his release would inevitably lead to further tragedy. A victim-impact statement from one of the officers he targeted years ago accurately predicted that the suspect would eventually kill or severely injure someone, yet he was back on the streets with GPS monitoring until this latest explosion of violence.

The suspect is now facing a new battery of charges, including armed assault with intent to murder. For the victims caught in the crossfire of this preventable attack, the consequences of the justice system’s leniency have proven devastating.
