UMVA has learned that Harry Styles' team has responded to a flood of complaints from disgruntled fans who attended the launch of his new global tour, Together, Together, in Amsterdam last week.
The concert, which promotes his new album, Kiss All the Time, Disco Occasionally, was criticized for its plain staging and run-of-the-mill pageantry, with fans expressing frustration over the view from VIP sections closer to the stage.
According to those attending, there were several chunks of time when, due to the angle of the bridges on stage, Harry was simply not visible to the audience, instead obscured by 10ft walkways - a particularly galling issue given that tickets in those sections total in the hundreds.
Harry Styles HQ has released a statement addressing fan complaints, saying 'We've heard concerns from some fans regarding sightline obstructions on the floor. We want every person in the room to have the best experience possible, and we are actively working on making adjustments to improve visibility, while keeping everyone's safety a priority.'
The statement continued: 'Beginning Friday, the front bridges will be altered in Amsterdam and London. For future venues, we are working as quickly as possible to make adjustments that also fit within safety code and local compliance. In the meantime, temporary barricade adjustments have been made to the left and right front GA pits for tonight's show to improve stage visibility.'
Harry's team concluded by thanking fans for their 'patience and understanding,' and the swift response has been met with praise from fans, who have taken to social media to express their appreciation for the star's willingness to listen and adapt.
One fan, Xan, wrote: 'This is amazing! I love that these teams are working together to ensure both a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone involved.' Harry's tour will conclude in December after traveling through several countries, and it's been a big year for him as he returns to the stage for the first time in three years and reportedly puts a ring on his relationship with Zoe Kravitz, who was there to support her fiancée for his opening night.
