WALZ DECLARES WAR on ICE: Governor Unleashes SCATHING Attack!

During his recent State of the State address, Minnesota’s Governor delivered a sharply worded condemnation of federal immigration enforcement, igniting a firestorm of controversy. His speech, delivered in the state House Chamber, painted a stark and unsettling picture of federal actions within Minnesota’s borders.

The Governor described past immigration enforcement operations as an “unthinkable federal invasion,” employing unusually strong language to convey his outrage. He went further, characterizing federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents as “armed lawless gangs” engaged in a “campaign of organized brutality.”

He recounted a period of fear within communities, alleging families lived in constant anxiety and children were separated from their parents. The Governor asserted that individuals were subjected to racial profiling and unlawful detentions, despite having committed no wrongdoing.

These accusations stem from the Trump administration’s “Operation Metro Surge,” a targeted effort responding to the state’s policies regarding cooperation with ICE detainers. Federal officials had previously criticized the Governor and local leaders for not fully complying with requests to hold individuals for potential deportation.

The Governor’s address also addressed concerns regarding financial fraud within the state, specifically referencing instances within the Somali community. He suggested that the state’s own generosity had inadvertently created opportunities for abuse, emphasizing the need for increased oversight.

This is not the first time the Governor has voiced strong opposition to federal immigration policies. During a previous campaign, he minimized concerns about activity at the southern border, and more recently, he likened ICE raids to the actions of the Nazis during World War II.

On a trip to Europe, the Governor publicly criticized a former president, labeling him a “fascist” and appearing to solicit intervention from foreign entities. This statement drew immediate backlash and raised questions about the appropriateness of his conduct abroad.

Throughout his tenure, the Governor has consistently advocated for greater protections for undocumented immigrants and has actively challenged federal immigration enforcement efforts. He has pursued legal action against the federal government, partnering with organizations to contest ICE operations and demand financial compensation for perceived damages.
