Fujifilm is celebrating the 40th anniversary of its iconic QuickSnap single-use camera, and to mark the occasion, the company is launching two new models that cater to the growing interest in analog photography.
The QuickSnap Active, a waterproof model, will be available in early August, while the QuickSnap Black and White will be available in September. The pricing details for the new models have not been disclosed, but they promise to expand the QuickSnap photographic experience, making it easier for anyone to enjoy film photography.
The QuickSnap Active is designed for underwater use, allowing users to take photos at depths of up to 10 meters. The camera is encased in a durable plastic housing, making it ideal for outdoor activities at the beach, pool, or in rainy conditions. The model features a larger film advance knob and a lever-style shutter button, which enables easier operation even underwater or while wearing gloves.
The QuickSnap Active comes with ISO 800 135 Color negative film with 27 exposures, but it does not have a flash. In contrast, the QuickSnap Black and White model is fitted with black-and-white film characterized by sharp images and smooth grain.
The QuickSnap Black and White model is designed to allow users to capture everyday moments, such as street scenes or time spent with loved ones, without the need for special settings or advanced techniques. The camera is compatible with the same processing chemicals used for color negative film and comes with ISO 400 135 Black and White negative film with 27 exposures.
The new QuickSnap models are not the only addition to the line. Fujifilm is also releasing a QuickSnap Hand Strap accessory separately, which is designed to provide a comfortable grip and easy handling.
