The beloved Fiesta Village Family Fun Park in Colton, California, is preparing to close its gates for good after more than 50 years of serving the Inland Empire.
After decades of family memories, birthday parties, and first dates, the park will be closing its doors following its final public operating days on July 10 and 11.
The family-owned attraction first opened in 1974 and has been operated by Michelle and Patrick O'Brien since 2002.
Over the years, the park expanded to include amusement rides, laser tag, and a roller skating rink, beyond its original mini-golf courses, go-karts, and water slides.
The owners cited rising operating costs and declining attendance as the reasons for the closure, stating that the economics of the amusement park industry have changed dramatically.
The owners had hoped to find a buyer willing to keep the park open, but were unable to do so, with Patrick O'Brien saying there was "just no interest."
The announcement prompted an outpouring of memories online from former visitors who recalled growing up at the park.
The owners invited families to return one last time before the attraction closes, to "laugh, play and create one final memory together."
The park expressed gratitude to its guests, thanking them for allowing Fiesta Village to be part of their lives and family traditions.
