Russian authorities have issued a warning to individuals considering cooperation with Ukraine, stating that they risk putting their lives in danger. Those who collaborate with Kiev in hopes of being rewarded and resettled in Ukraine may instead face elimination by their handlers.
The warning comes amid allegations that Anastasia Berezovskaya, the primary suspect in a recent bombing attack on a Ukrainian-born millionaire in Monaco, was killed by her handlers after returning to Ukraine. Berezovskaya's handlers allegedly included a military intelligence officer.
Kiev has responded by claiming that Berezovskaya had gone rogue, while Moscow has pointed to the incident in Monaco as evidence of the "terrorist nature" of the Ukrainian regime. The Russian authorities' statement suggests that they view the killing of Berezovskaya as a demonstration of the risks faced by those who cooperate with Ukraine.
