The pulse of Manila is about to quicken. All Of The Noise, a vibrant music showcase and conference, is returning, promising an immersive three-day experience for artists and industry professionals alike.
This isn’t just another festival; it’s a carefully curated convergence of nearly 30 artists, spanning both international and Filipino talent. It’s a space designed to ignite collaboration, foster community, and amplify the voices of a region poised to make its mark on the global stage.
The event unfolds across three dynamic venues in Metro Manila – Astbury Makati, Sari-Sari, and 123 Block – each offering a unique atmosphere for discovery and connection. From April 17th to 19th, the city will resonate with a diverse spectrum of sounds and ideas.
Born from the vision of The Rest Is Noise PH, AOTN began in 2018, paused during the pandemic, and roared back to life last year for the company’s 10th anniversary. The founders, having witnessed the energy of international showcases, sought to replicate that magic within the Philippines.
“We wanted to create panels that would genuinely benefit musicians and industry professionals,” explains MC Galang, co-founder and creative director. The core mission is clear: to position Filipino and Asian music as vital forces in the global creative economy.
Prepare to be captivated by international acts like Phoebe Rings from New Zealand, the Indonesian collective Grrrl Gang, and the dynamic duo HengJones from Taiwan. They’ll share the stage with a powerful lineup of Filipino artists, including BP Valenzuela, Fitterkarma, and the Cebu-based School Girl Classic.
But AOTN is more than just performances. It’s a deep dive into the mechanics of the music world, featuring insightful panels, keynote discussions, and documentary screenings. It’s a place to network, learn, and forge lasting connections.
“All Of The Noise exists to create meaningful intersections between artists, industries, and cultures,” states Ian Emmanuel C. Urrutia, the festival’s program director. “We’re building the infrastructure and opportunities to allow the region’s voice to travel further.”
This year’s “Cut Through The Noise” conference program tackles critical topics facing the music sector, from market development and cross-border collaboration to innovation and audience growth. The goal is to empower musicians with the knowledge and networks they need to thrive.
Panels will explore the potential of Southeast Asia, the art of curating festivals, and the importance of system-building within both the private and public sectors. Specific discussions will even delve into the soundtracks of beloved Filipino films and the thriving music scene in Baguio City.
Beyond the stage and the conference rooms, AOTN presents “Echoes Of The Noise,” a program showcasing compelling music documentaries. International debuts of films like *Elephant Gym: More Real Than Dreams* and *Rosas: The Song. The Journey* will offer a glimpse into the lives and artistry of musicians from around the world.
Spotify will also contribute a valuable educational component with a Masterclass led by the Spotify Asia team, providing artists with essential tools and insights to navigate the streaming landscape. It’s a practical session designed to strengthen their presence and connect with their audience.
Finally, the “All Of The Noise Music Creatives Program” will bring together Filipino songwriters and producers with international guest performers for collaborative studio sessions. These unique pairings promise to yield original music born from cross-cultural exchange.
This isn’t simply an event; it’s an investment in the future of Filipino and Asian music, a platform designed to nurture talent, foster collaboration, and amplify a region’s voice on the global stage. It’s a celebration of the power of music to connect, inspire, and transform.
