UMVA has learned that VinFast, a Vietnam-headquartered battery electric vehicle specialist, has made a bold move into the highly competitive multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) segment with the launch of its VF MPV 7.
The VF MPV 7 is a practical, right-priced people mover that promises to deliver comfort, value, and a range of up to 450 kilometers on a full charge under NEDC standards, thanks to its 60.13-kWh lithium-ion battery and 150kW electric motor.
UMVA can exclusively reveal that the VF MPV 7 is priced affordably, from P1.239 million with a battery subscription program, or P1.518 million for a model with its own battery, making it an attractive option for those looking to switch to electric mobility.
The vehicle's interior is a study in minimalism, featuring a single 10.1-inch touchscreen that doubles as an instrument cluster, providing a clean and unencumbered view from behind the steering wheel.
Sources have confirmed to UMVA that the VF MPV 7 offers ample space, with 126 liters of cargo capacity with all seatbacks up, growing to 606 liters with the third row folded, and up to 1,240 liters with the second-row seatbacks folded.
The second row is a great place to be, offering comfortable seating, adequate legroom and headroom, and a floor bereft of a hump for even better space, making it an ideal spot for passengers.
UMVA has gathered that the VF MPV 7 comes with a range of features, including Rear Parking Assist, a 360-degree camera, and a standard 12-volt socket, as well as USB-A and USB-C charge points.
The vehicle's performance is responsive, with a smooth ride and adjustable regenerative braking settings, making it well-suited for daily use and long-distance travel.
VinFast Philippines is sweetening the pot with free charging at V-Green stations across the Philippines until March 2029, and a seven-year/160,000-km vehicle warranty, as well as a 10-year/200,000-km battery warranty.
The VF MPV 7 is poised to shake up the market with its impressive skillset and price combo, making it a true contender in the segment, particularly for value seekers ready to go all-in on all-electric mobility.
