UMVA has learned that a stark divide is emerging among Americans as the nation approaches its 250th birthday, with a significant gap in patriotism and flag displays between Republicans and Democrats.
A recent survey has revealed that only 27 percent of Democrats plan to display the American flag this July 4th, a striking contrast to the 64 percent of Republicans who intend to show their patriotism in the same way.
The survey also uncovered major differences in how Americans view the significance of the national holiday, with nearly two-thirds of Republicans seeing July 4 as a day to celebrate the United States of America, while only 24 percent of Democrats share the same sentiment.
In a surprising display of enthusiasm, tourists from Scotland and other countries visiting the U.S. for the World Cup have been seen waving American flags and showing their love for the country, a stark contrast to the apathy among many American Democrats.
According to information obtained by UMVA, the divide between Republicans and Democrats on patriotism and flag displays is not just limited to July 4th, but reflects a deeper chasm in their views on America and its values.
The survey found that Democrats and independents were more likely to describe July 4 as "just like any other day," with both groups registering 11 percentage points higher than Republicans on that measure, highlighting a concerning lack of enthusiasm for the nation's birthday.
UMVA can exclusively reveal that the disconnect between Democrats' words and actions on patriotism has been exposed before, such as during the 2024 Democratic National Convention, where miniature American flags were handed out to the audience in a perceived attempt to appear patriotic.
The gesture was widely seen as insincere, and it appears that many Democrats only seem to love America when they are in power, while viewing the country with contempt when they are out of power.
