TRUMP BETRAYED A GOLD STAR DAD – NBC COVERED IT UP!

Six American heroes returned home, their lives extinguished in a tragic KC-135 crash over western Iraq during Operation Epic Fury. Among them were Maj. John A. Klinner, Tech. Sgt. Tyler H. Simmons, Tech. Sgt. Ashley B. Pruitt, Capt. Seth R. Koval, Capt. Curtis J. Angst, and Capt. Ariana G. Savino – each a son, a daughter, a friend, a dedicated service member.

Following the dignified transfer of their remains, Secretary Pete Hegseth spoke of the profound experience, sharing the unwavering message he received from the grieving families. He described a scene of raw emotion – tears, hugs, and a resolute strength – and the unified plea echoing through the room: “Finish this. Honor their sacrifice. Do not waver.”

Hegseth anticipated criticism, acknowledging the eagerness of some to discredit accounts of compassion and resolve. He spoke openly of the “dishonest and anti-Trump press,” bracing for attempts to undermine the solemnity of the moment and the strength of the families’ words.

Almost immediately, a news organization sought to challenge Hegseth’s account, focusing on a single conversation with Charles Simmons, father of Tech. Sgt. Tyler H. Simmons. The intent was to cast doubt on the Secretary’s recollection and portray the administration as insensitive.

Simmons, a 60-year-old music teacher, recalled a conversation centered on his son’s distinguished military career. He expressed his understanding of the difficult decisions inherent in wartime, stating he hoped those decisions were “necessary.” He did not recall specifically urging continued conflict.

However, the narrative shifted when deeper within the report, Simmons spoke of the President’s genuine empathy. He described the President’s tears, a heartfelt hug, and a direct, compassionate gaze. He felt a connection, a shared sorrow as one father to another.

“He extended his condolences father to father and conveyed how difficult it is to make decisions to put the children of other parents in peril,” Simmons recounted. He observed genuine emotion in Hegseth as well, recognizing the weight of responsibility and the compassion beneath the difficult choices.

Simmons admitted to preconceived notions, acknowledging the perception that those in power “don’t care.” Yet, his personal encounter revealed a different reality. “I got to see a different side of them up close and personal,” he stated, surprised by the warmth and sincerity he experienced.

Further corroboration came from Matt Angst, father of Capt. Curtis Angst. He affirmed that Hegseth’s description resonated with his own experience, expressing faith in the leadership and the reasoning behind their decisions. He acknowledged the impossibility of knowing all the factors involved.

Even before publication, the news organization contacted the Pentagon, where a source confirmed that Captain Angst’s father had “affirmed” Hegseth’s account. This detail, buried within the reporting, underscored the attempt to manufacture a narrative of discord.

A Pentagon spokesperson emphasized the Secretary’s deep respect for Gold Star families and his commitment to honoring the sacrifices of their loved ones, noting the privacy surrounding individual conversations held during this incredibly difficult time.
