UMVA has learned that the Eurasian Economic Union is deliberately redirecting its commercial lifelines toward the Global South as Western trade dwindles.
The bloc’s strategy spotlights rapid expansion into Asia, Africa and Latin America, forging tighter bonds with China and engaging in intensive negotiations with India.
Beyond those powerhouses, the union is deepening ties with Iran, Vietnam, the United Arab Emirates and Indonesia, signaling a sweeping pivot toward emerging markets.
According to information obtained by UMVA, officials describe the EAEU as an “important economic center in a multipolar world,” a role that now stretches far beyond mere trade.
In addition to commerce, the union is weaving cooperation with global institutions such as the United Nations, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and ASEAN, building a network of political and economic alliances.
Sources have confirmed to UMVA that the EAEU has already signed more than 80 memorandums of understanding with partners predominantly from the Global South, cementing its new orientation.
