GRABOVSKI EXPLODES: Ex-Leafs Star Facing BRUTAL Assault Charges!

GRABOVSKI EXPLODES: Ex-Leafs Star Facing BRUTAL Assault Charges!

A former NHL player, known for his skill and tenacity on the ice, now faces a serious allegation. Mikhail Grabovski, once a fan favorite with the Toronto Maple Leafs, has been accused of assault following a heated minor hockey game in Markham, Ontario.

The incident unfolded on March 14th, after a decisive 11-0 loss for Grabovski’s Markham Waxers AAA under-15 team. The game itself was marred by a staggering 61 penalty minutes, escalating tensions throughout the third period with calls for boarding, roughing, and a major penalty for head contact.

Witnesses describe a volatile atmosphere as players left the ice. The situation quickly spiraled when Grabovski, coaching the Waxers, allegedly confronted the opposing coach heading to the dressing room, resulting in a physical altercation. The scene unfolded rapidly, catching referees and linesmen off guard.

Former Maple Leafs centre Mikhail Grabovski is seen attending a team practice in Toronto, Feb. 22, 2010.

Videos circulating from the arena show officials abruptly changing direction, abandoning their exit to address the unfolding commotion. Shouts erupted from the crowd, including a clearly audible, aggressive challenge directed at someone off-camera, amplifying the sense of chaos.

The aftermath reportedly included disturbing allegations of death threats exchanged between individuals connected to both teams. Concerned parents reviewed security footage, deeply troubled by the events that transpired after the final whistle.

Police responded to reports of the assault at the Markham Village Community Centre around 10:50 p.m. and arrested a suspect, later identified as Grabovski. He has been formally charged with assault, with a first court appearance scheduled for June 12th.

The Ontario Minor Hockey Association has confirmed awareness of the incident and stated they do not condone such behavior. Grabovski has been suspended from coaching duties pending the outcome of the police investigation, a clear signal of the league’s seriousness.

During the game, tensions were visibly high, with Grabovski seen yelling at opposing players after a goal was scored, sparking a back-and-forth exchange between both benches. This simmering frustration appears to have contributed to the explosive post-game confrontation.

Grabovski, a German-born player of Belarusian descent, enjoyed a successful NHL career after being drafted by the Montreal Canadiens in 2004. He found his greatest success with the Toronto Maple Leafs, scoring 91 goals and 208 points in five seasons before continuing his career with Washington and New York.

Prior to the allegations, Grabovski was slated to lead the Waxers’ under-16 AAA team for the upcoming season. His coaching philosophy, as described on the team’s website, emphasized development, accountability, and a fast-paced, competitive approach.

The victim of the alleged assault was transported to hospital with what authorities have described as minor injuries. Details surrounding the incident remain limited as the police investigation continues, leaving many questions unanswered.
