LEFT'S DANGEROUS DENIAL: Violence EXPLODES!

LEFT'S DANGEROUS DENIAL: Violence EXPLODES!

A disturbing trend has taken root in American life: political violence. It’s a reality neither side of the ideological spectrum can claim innocence from, yet one side consistently deflects attention from the escalating danger emanating from its own ranks.

The refusal to acknowledge this reality is particularly glaring when considering recent events – from the attempted assassination of a prominent conservative activist to a brazen attack during a public event attended by the President of the United States and numerous politicians and journalists. These aren’t isolated incidents; they represent a pattern.

Even after authorities revealed the attacker’s deeply critical writings about the previous administration, a former President publicly stated the motive remained unclear. The writings, however, unequivocally demonstrated radical leftist views and intense animosity towards conservatives and a specific former leader.

This selective perception echoes in other cases. When a man was arrested for shooting at a conservative activist, a late-night host immediately attributed the act to supporters of a former president, despite evidence to the contrary. The shooter’s own mother revealed his strong advocacy for LGBTQ+ rights, a stark contrast to the narrative being pushed.

A dangerous self-deception has taken hold, with many liberals convinced that political violence is solely the domain of the far right. While instances on the right may exist, a growing body of evidence points to a significant surge in violence originating from the left. This includes the widespread arson and clashes during the George Floyd protests, the injuries sustained by over 150 law enforcement officers at Lafayette Square, and the attacks on pro-life facilities following a landmark Supreme Court decision.

The list continues with a disturbing escalation: a plot to kidnap and potentially kill a Supreme Court Justice, and the recent ambush murder of a major corporate CEO. These are not fringe occurrences; they are increasingly frequent and alarming.

When questioned about the potential link between heated rhetoric and violence, a prominent Democratic representative seemed taken aback. Instead of addressing the concern, he pointed to incidents involving individuals exercising their First Amendment rights, misrepresenting the circumstances surrounding those events.

This pattern of deflection isn’t unique. Repeatedly, Democrats appear unwilling to examine whether their own inflammatory language might be contributing to a climate of violence. One representative even dismissed concerns about urging “maximum warfare” in political battles with a curt dismissal.

The situation is further complicated by the selective reporting and analysis offered by organizations like the Anti-Defamation League (ADL). Their annual report claims that “right-wing extremists” are responsible for all identified extremist-related killings, receiving widespread media coverage.

However, a closer examination reveals significant flaws in this assessment. The ADL’s categorization of “right-wing extremism” appears overly broad and often fails to account for the complexities of individual motivations. Their methodology excludes crucial cases and relies on questionable assumptions.

For example, the ADL classified a supermarket shooter as “right-wing” based on racist views, while overlooking his self-identification as an “eco-fascist national socialist” with leanings towards the left. Similarly, a shooter at a gay bar was labeled “right-wing” despite identifying as nonbinary – a fact conspicuously absent from the ADL’s analysis.

Crucially, the ADL’s reports omit entirely cases of violence perpetrated by individuals with clear left-wing affiliations. A shooter who attacked a school while expressing rage against “white privilege,” a man who openly criticized a former president, and another who supported the Black Lives Matter movement – all were excluded from the ADL’s tally, despite claiming a combined 38 lives.

Furthermore, the ADL includes cases involving gang violence and personal disputes, classifying them as politically motivated extremism based on tenuous connections. This inflates the numbers and distorts the true picture of political violence in America.

Adjusting for these inconsistencies reveals a far more balanced – and troubling – reality. The number of murders attributable to the left is comparable to those attributed to the right, challenging the prevailing narrative pushed by some organizations and media outlets.

Regardless of the precise numbers, the rise of left-wing violence is a serious and undeniable problem. Ignoring it, or attributing it solely to the actions of others, only exacerbates the danger and hinders any meaningful effort to address this growing threat to American civil life.

The selective framing of this issue, driven by political narratives rather than objective analysis, obscures the full scope of the problem and prevents a necessary national conversation about the escalating violence tearing at the fabric of our society.
