Kim Kardashian’s Skims’ didn’t beat around the bush in finding another way to shock shoppers.
A new product, aptly named “The Ultimate Bush,” is essentially thong undies that come with a variety of merkins in the general pubic area — though the colour, length and texture is up to the wearer. It’s retailing on their site for C$60.
Skims posted a promotion video with a retro game show called “Does the Carpet Match the Drapes?”
The accompanying caption reads: “Just Dropped: The Ultimate Bush. With our daring new Faux Hair Panty, your carpet can be whatever colour you want it to be.”
NOT FIRST CONTROVERSIAL ITEM
Skims has never shied away from a controversial undergarment.
The underwear, shapewear and loungewear brand released a nipple bra in 2023 for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Its success prompted the “ultimate” version of the eye-popping bra, complete with fake piercings, that came out in May.
This time around, the fuzzy undies — which, arguably, make no sense because shouldn’t the hair be on the inside of the micro-thong? — have had social media users rubbing their eyes and doing double takes.

“I just googled the date to make sure it’s not April 1st,” one person wrote.
Another commented, “I thought this was a Saturday Night Live skit, while a third person added, “I’m calling 911.”
Others lauded the brand for its brilliant marketing plan.

“Smart way to bring people to your website, have them laughing, then them ending up buying actual cute stuff they don’t even need. Genius e-commerce team,” one fan noted.
A second person commented: “Only $32 (pounds) plus shipping and tax to have the bush you always dreamt of.”
A third wrote, “Nothing wrong with a little faux hair moment. Creative, fun, and no animals harmed.”
The bushy bottoms clearly made an impression as they are already sold out in every colour.
“You loved it — our most daring panty yet is now officially sold out,” the SKIMS website reads.
Customers are now being directed to join a waitlist.
