Toronto Police have released the image of a male suspect wanted in an assault investigation.
Cops said that around 4:11 p.m. on Sept. 12, they responded to a call in The Queensway-Kipling Ave. area, where the victim was walking on the sidewalk when a male suspect with a dog verbally engaged with him.
The suspect then allegedly assaulted the victim, causing the victim to fall, and the assault continued with the victim suffering non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect, who police said fled the area, is described as having short, brown hair and being clean shaven. He was wearing black pants with white lines on the outer thigh, a grey shirt and dark shoes and was walking a brown dog.
Earlier this week, lawyer David Costa, who is representing a 24-year-old autistic man, Brian Huang, told theToronto Sunhis client had a “misunderstanding” over another man’s dog.
“(What) starts the fight is Brian saying, ‘You keep that dog away,’ and that’s when the man (allegedly) launches into him. I think it starts out where the dog is like a little excitable and it was scaring Brian. And then the guy starts with, ‘Don’t worry it won’t bite.’ And Brian is like, ‘Well, it’s a big dog, keep him away from me.’”
