On the surface, Ana Paula Veloso Fernandes is a blond Brazilian bombshell.
But homicide detectives in Sao Paulo say she’s something else. Cops say Fernandes is a serial killer.
According to investigators, Fernandes stashed the decomposing body of her landlord inside her home for five days,CNN Brasil reports. Worse, the law student and mother is alleged to have murdered four people in just five months.
‘MANIPULATIVE’
“(The) extremely manipulative suspecttakes pleasure in killingand shows a lack of remorse,” Police Chief Halisson Ideiao told reporters. “(She) wants to kill (and would) certainly attempt to kill others if released.”

One of the murder victims was the alleged femme fatale’s landlord, Marcelo Hari Fonseca. He allegedly was stabbed to death during an argument with the violent vixen in January.
Police initially blew off the investigation, citing a lack of evidence. However, pressure from the landlord’s distraught daughter sent homicide detectives back to the drawing board. That’s when they linked Fernandes to several other unsolved murders.
MAGGOTS IN HOME
Cops say that Fernandes then confessed to the sinister slayings after her son began complaining about the stench and maggots began infesting the home. She allegedly covered the homemade crypt with a sheet so her young son and niece wouldn’t see her sick handiwork. But they did smell the rotting corpses.

The killer explained that she had incinerated the couch where she had executed her landlord. She did so to get rid of the smell and to “clean the room.”
Now, investigators have connected Fernandes to at least three other murders between January and May. In those slayings, rat poison was the conduit.
RAT POISON
Fernandes killed the three others — Maria Aparecida Rodrigues, Hayder Mhazres, and Neil Correa da Silva — for financial gain and revenge, police allege. She first tested out her poisoning method on stray dogs, detectives claim, killing at least 10.
Cops allege:
— Fernandes had moved into Fonseca’s home pretending to be a renter, but within four days, he had been poisoned and his body left to decompose.
— She then went on to meet Maria Aparecida Rodrigues on a dating app in April. Rodrigues was eventually found dead after having coffee at Fernandes’ home.
— She then attempted to frame her ex-boyfriend, a military officer, by forging notes and making a supposedly poisoned cake.

According to cops, Fernandes was not acting alone. She was allegedly assisted by her twin sister, Roberta Cristina Veloso Fernandes and friend Michelle Paiva da Silva, 43.
Fernandes’ motivations remain unclear but top police chief Halisson Ideiao said: “Ana Paula takes pleasure in killing. Her motivation doesn’t really matter — she wants to kill.”
She is being held while testing continues on the exhumed bodies.
