
A 30-year-old Toronto man is accused of making a death threat online and threatening members of the trans and Muslim communities in recent weeks.
Toronto Police claim the accused threatened online to kill someone on Sept. 30.
And the same man allegedly “made multiple online threats towards members of the Trans and Muslim communities” between Sept. 29 and Oct. 10, police said in a statement Wednesday.
Investigators subsequently identified a suspect, executed a search warrant at his address on Sunday, and arrested the man.
Abraham Lincoln Neranjan is charged with one count of public incitement of hatred and three counts of uttering threats.
He was expected to appear in court for a bail hearing on Wednesday.
