Tragedy strikes Disney again as man found dead at park resort

Another person was found dead at a Walt Disney World property, marking the second death in just one week.


Police responded to a “person down” call on Tuesday around 7:30 a.m. at the Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground’s Cottontail Curl loop, an area for pop-up camper vans and tents, Walt Disney World: Active Callsposted on X.


The call was later updated to a “dead person.”


The Orange County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to theNew York Postthat “a man in his 60s experienced a medical episode and was transported to a local hospital, where, unfortunately, he died.”


They added: “There are no signs of foul play.”


This is the second death on a Disney property in just over a week.

A woman, identified as Summer Equitz, wasfound dead at the park’s Contemporary Resortnear the Magic Kingdom on Oct. 14.


Equitz’s death was ruled a suicide by the Orange County Medical Examiner’s Office.


The Disney superfan died of multiple blunt impact injuries, though authorities clarified that Equitz was not struck by a park’s monorail, as was suggested on social media.


Their deaths come after a woman in her 60sdied earlier this monthafter taking a ride through the Haunted Mansion attraction at Disneyland in Anaheim, Calif.
