A 49-year-old man is accused of sexually assaulting a customer while making a food delivery at an apartment building in the city’s east end last week.
Toronto Police say the accused was working as a “food delivery person” when he allegedly brought an order to a customer in the area of Pape and Danforth Aves. on Oct. 15.
“The (customer) attended the lobby of a residential building to pick up their food order and was sexually assaulted by the accused,” police alleged in a statement released Wednesday.
Anwar Miah, of Toronto, was subsequently arrested and charged with one count of sexual assault.
He was scheduled to appear in court for a bail hearing on Wednesday.
Investigators have release a photo of the accused out of concern for the possibility of other alleged victims.
