The gunman who allegedly murdered his former partner in Brampton before being gunned down by cops had turned toGoFundMein the year before his death, the Toronto Sunhas learned.

The fundraising campaign page has since been taken down.

Cops say career criminalAnthony Deschepper, 38, was on bail when he shot to death his ex-girlfriend, Savannah Kulla, a 29-year-old mother of four from Brampton, on Tuesday.

Deschepper was located by police at a Niagara Falls gas bar early Wednesday and killed by cops.

Toddler daughter was kidnapped after killing

He also kidnapped his one-year-old daughter after the murder, triggering an Amber Alert. She was safely released to her family within an hour.

Deschepper had been facing firearms-related charges from September 2023, and Kulla was the victim in that case. The trial had been slated for 2026.

Savannah Kulla, 29, was shot to death in a plaza parking lot in Brampton on Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2025.

On GoFundMe, Deschepper posted a campaign goal of $5,500 but was only able to collect $1,290 from seven donations.

“I’m Anthony, a dedicated dad to a big crew of wonderful kids who mean everything to me. Last September, on one of their birthdays, my life took a sharp turn,” he wrote.

“A sudden, intense pain in my chest and ribs sent me to the emergency room, where doctors found blood clots in my lungs — a pulmonary embolism. Since that day, my health has fallen apart, leaving me far from the man I used to be.”

Claimed he was in constant pain

Deschepper said he rode motorcycles, ran his own business, and was “making memories with my kids.” But as of the GoFundMe writing, he said he struggled to stand, and he was in “constant, overwhelming pain.”

He claimed he was weak, used a cane and fell down the stairs.

The alleged killer then mentions that doctors suggested it might be lupus, multiple sclerosis, cysts, or a “prostate scan came back PIRADs4, hinting at possible cancer — prostate, bone, or both.”

Deschepper then explains that he can’t work and his savings are gone, “spent on keeping me and my kids going. With a house full of kids, the bills never stop — child support alone is enough to break anyone, and I’m close to that point. I’m falling behind, and the stress is wearing me down.”

Whether the suspected health killer’s health woes were legit or not has not been confirmed.

Woman with him is now charged

Meanwhile, Niagara Regional Police have charged the woman who was at the scene of the gas bar shooting as an accessory to an offence. Alysha Tarnawski, 38, was arrested after Deschepper was killed at the Falls gas bar.

Cops say she was driving Deschepper as he fled a massive manhunt following the Brampton murder and Amber Alert. She made her first court appearance on Thursday in St. Catharines.

Deschepper’s violent death is being investigated by the province’s Special Investigations Unit, which probes serious injuries or death involving police.

A friend of Kulla has establisheda GoFundMe for her children. With a goal of $80,000, 78% of the goal had been met by the noon-hour Friday.
