Speaking last week,Harry Kanedefended Bellingham after his mistake in Dortmund’s 2-1 defeat toBayern Munich.

‘He’s a good player with a lot of potential,’ Kane said.

‘I’m sure he wants to play more right now but that’s part of learning at this level. He has a great future ahead of him, he just needs to keep working.’

Bellingham’s father, Mark, also confronted members of Dortmund’s hierarchy, as well as the team’s head coach Niko Kovac, after his son was substituted at half time during his Bundesliga debut in August.

Dortmund’s sporting director, Sebastian Kehl, was forced to remind Bellingham’s family that they are not allowed near the team’s dressing room during games.

‘The active area at our club remains reserved for players, coaches and officials, not families and advisors,’ Kehl said.

‘This will not happen again. We have made this clear to all involved.’
