JOE KEERY IS A HERO: Every Ticket Fights for LGBTQ+ Youth!

JOE KEERY IS A HERO: Every Ticket Fights for LGBTQ+ Youth!

Joe Keery, the actor beloved for his role in a certain Hawkins, Indiana story, is channeling his musical success into a powerful act of support. Performing as Djo, he’s quietly been donating one dollar from every ticket sold on his recent “Another Bite Tour” to a vital cause.

The tour, launched in support of his critically acclaimed album *The Crux*, wasn’t just about the music. It was a deliberate effort to amplify the work of The Ally Coalition, an organization dedicated to fighting discrimination against LGBTQ+ youth.

Founded by music industry siblings Jack and Rachel Antonoff, The Ally Coalition creates safe spaces and advocates for a generation facing unique challenges. Keery’s contribution represents a tangible commitment to their mission.

Speaking before his final show at The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, Keery expressed his hope that the funds would make a real difference. He spoke of wanting to support a place where individuals can simply “be themselves,” free from judgment.

This year has been one of significant growth and change for the artist, both personally and professionally. The tour’s success felt like the perfect opportunity to give back, channeling the energy of the crowds into positive change.

Keery’s musical journey as Djo began in 2019 with the release of “Roddy.” But it was a moment of unexpected virality in 2024 that truly propelled his music into the spotlight.

A snippet of his 2022 song “End of Beginning” became the soundtrack to countless TikTok videos, capturing a wave of nostalgia and wanderlust. The track even earned a nomination for Best International Song at the BRIT Awards.

Of course, many recognize Keery from his breakout role as Steve Harrington in the global phenomenon *Stranger Things*. What began as a classic 80s archetype quickly evolved into a fan-favorite character.

Steve’s journey from high school jock to a protective, almost paternal figure for the younger characters resonated deeply with audiences. He became the heart of the group, a beacon of kindness in a town shrouded in mystery.

Now, as fans eagerly await the fifth and final season of *Stranger Things*, the show promises a dramatic conclusion. The trailer hints at a desperate battle against terrifying forces, with the fate of Hawkins – and perhaps the world – hanging in the balance.

The final season will arrive in stages, beginning November 26th in the US and 27th in the UK with the first four episodes. The next three will follow on Christmas Day and Boxing Day respectively, culminating in a grand finale on New Year’s Eve and January 1st.

While the world anticipates the closing chapter of *Stranger Things*, Keery continues to use his platform for good, demonstrating that true heroism extends far beyond the screen.
