SORORITY NIGHTMARE: CREEP BUSTED After Shower Stalking & Underwear Heist!

SORORITY NIGHTMARE: CREEP BUSTED After Shower Stalking & Underwear Heist!

A chilling violation of privacy unfolded at a UC Berkeley sorority house, leaving residents shaken and authorities investigating a disturbing pattern of behavior. A 45-year-old man with a significant criminal history now faces multiple charges after a brazen early morning intrusion.

The incident began around 3 a.m. on November 1st, when a resident awoke to find an unknown man inside her bedroom. He fled before being confronted, but reports quickly surfaced of the same individual repeatedly entering the house throughout the morning.

Security footage revealed a disturbing timeline: the suspect moved freely within the sorority house for over three hours, even leaving to change clothes and returning disguised with a ski mask. The relaxed security, likely due to the busy Halloween night, allowed for this prolonged and unsettling access.

The investigation quickly revealed the intruder wasn’t simply seeking valuables. He stole food and personal items, including underwear, and, most disturbingly, was observed watching women shower in a communal bathroom. The realization that someone had invaded their most private moments has deeply impacted the residents.

“It’s understandably shocking and scary,” stated a Berkeley Police Officer. “Just the knowledge that somebody had been inside the home like that… it does shake your sense of safety.” The feeling of security, once taken for granted, was shattered by this deliberate and invasive act.

Detectives utilized surveillance video and license-plate-reader technology to identify Courtney Emile Alford as the suspect. An arrest warrant was swiftly obtained, and Alford was taken into custody without incident on November 5th.

A search of Alford’s residence uncovered a disturbing arsenal: parts of an assault rifle, high-capacity magazines, and over 900 rounds of ammunition. This discovery added another layer of concern to an already frightening situation.

Alford now faces a litany of charges, including burglary, invasion of privacy, and being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition. He is also facing separate charges from March 2024 related to lewd acts upon a child, to which he has pleaded not guilty.

Court records show Alford is well-known to law enforcement in Alameda County and is currently held at Santa Rita Jail on $275,000 bail. The university has confirmed the incident occurred at an off-campus Alpha Chi Omega sorority house and is offering support resources to affected students.

The case serves as a stark reminder of the vulnerability of private spaces and the potential for disturbing intrusions. The investigation continues, and the community grapples with the unsettling reality of this violation.
