PAKISTAN FACTORY INFERNO: 18 DEAD – Details SHOCKED the World!

A devastating explosion ripped through a glue-making factory in eastern Pakistan on Friday, claiming the lives of at least eighteen people and leaving twenty-one others wounded. The blast, a sudden and violent eruption, obliterated the factory building itself and sent shockwaves through the surrounding neighborhood, igniting a fierce fire and unleashing widespread panic.

Authorities swiftly moved to investigate, arresting the factory manager while simultaneously searching for the owner, who reportedly fled the scene immediately following the catastrophe. The industrial facility, located in Faisalabad, Punjab province, was reduced to rubble in a matter of moments.

Initial investigations point towards a potential gas leakage as the cause of the explosion, though a definitive determination remains underway. The sheer force of the blast left rescuers scrambling to extract both the living and the deceased from the wreckage, a grim and arduous task that stretched on for hours.

This is a locator map for Pakistan with its capital, Islamabad, and the Kashmir region.

The line between factory worker and local resident blurred in the aftermath, as the explosion’s impact extended beyond the factory walls. It remains unclear how many of the eighteen fatalities were employees and how many were simply caught in the blast radius.

Questions are now being raised about the legality of the factory’s location. Local administrator Raja Jahangir revealed an investigation is focused on how construction permits were granted for a factory built within a residential area, a clear violation of established building codes.

Witnesses described a scene of utter devastation. The factory was “completely flattened,” according to Jahangir, and the blast’s power was so immense that nearby homes crumbled, scattering debris across the streets. Many of the injured are fighting for their lives, their conditions described as critical.

Muhammad Iqbal, a patient at a local hospital, recounted the terrifying moment, stating it “felt like an earthquake.” He described the collapse of roofs and walls, and the fortunate stability of his wife and son, who were also injured.

Nadeem Zafar, 45, vividly recalled rushing from his home after hearing the deafening boom. He painted a picture of chaos – flames, thick smoke, and desperate cries for help echoing through the streets. Initial fears centered around the possibility of a bomb or projectile strike.

Rescuers and ambulances converged on the Malikpur neighborhood, working tirelessly to pull bodies from the debris. Zafar described the initial confusion and fear, as residents struggled to comprehend the scale of the disaster unfolding around them.

This tragedy underscores a recurring and deeply troubling pattern in Pakistan: a lack of stringent safety standards in industrial settings. Similar incidents, including a boiler explosion at a Faisalabad textile mill earlier this year and a recent blast at a Karachi firecrackers factory, highlight the urgent need for reform.
