The timing couldn’t be worse. The Africa Cup of Nations kicks off on December 21st, with Senegal’s opening match against Botswana just two days later. Sarr was seen leaving the stadium on crutches and wearing a protective boot, a stark visual indication of the severity of the injury.
If Sarr is unable to recover in time, Crystal Palace will be without a key player during a demanding festive schedule. He will likely miss league games against Burnley, Fulham, Manchester City, and Leeds, as well as Europa Conference League clashes with Shelbourne and KuPS.
