Several Megaworld Lifestyle Malls – including Eastwood City and Broadway Centrum in Quezon City, and Festive Walk Iloilo – have been designated as official voting sites. These locations will play a crucial role in both the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) scheduled for November 2, 2026, and the subsequent national elections.
Beyond simply providing space, the collaboration aims to create environments that prioritize security and order. The intention is to offer voters convenient locations that fully respect the importance of the electoral process.
Lucky Chinatown in Manila will also contribute to the democratic process, functioning as a registration site for the Comelec’s innovative Register Anywhere Program. This initiative seeks to remove barriers and empower citizens to easily participate in the electoral system.
The shift in election dates, formalized through Republic Act No. 12232 signed by President Marcos Jr., moves the BSKE elections to the first Monday of November 2026. This change establishes a new four-year cycle for these vital local elections.
This partnership builds on a successful track record. Approximately 42 Megaworld malls previously served as voting centers during the recent midterm elections, demonstrating a commitment to supporting the nation’s democratic foundations.
