RETIRMENT HOME TERROR: Killer Among Us!

RETIRMENT HOME TERROR: Killer Among Us!

A quiet retirement community along the shores of Lake Huron is reeling after a shocking weekend incident. A homicide investigation has gripped Lambton Shores, leaving residents stunned and searching for answers.

Police responded to a home in Northville Estates on Saturday afternoon, discovering a scene of unimaginable violence. One person was pronounced dead at the scene, while another was rushed to the hospital with critical injuries.

Justin Hack, a young man, now faces the most serious of accusations: second-degree murder in the death of Kimberley Hack, and attempted murder of Thomas Organ. He also stands accused of assaulting Nancy and Peter Gosnek with a knife.

The incident unfolded within the peaceful confines of Northville Estates, a small, wooded community near Port Franks and the Pinery Provincial Park. It’s a place where neighbours know each other, and a sense of security is typically paramount.

A local resident described a horrific scene, recalling that a woman was stabbed to death and those who rushed to help were also injured. The victim was known in the area for her daily walks with her dog, a familiar and comforting sight.

Saturday afternoon saw a massive police presence descend upon Northville Crescent, with as many as eight to twelve vehicles surrounding the affected home. The usually tranquil streets were filled with the flashing lights and urgency of an active investigation.

While most officers have since departed, a visible reminder of the tragedy remains. Two OPP cruisers were still stationed outside the home on Monday morning, a silent testament to the ongoing investigation.

Hack appeared in court Sunday via video link, offering little more than a statement of exhaustion. He has been ordered to have no contact with Organ, the Gosneks, or Mary Lynn Triest as the legal process unfolds.

This marks the first homicide investigation in the Sarnia-Lambton area this year. The tragedy arrives just days before the one-year anniversary of another violent death – the stabbing of a 22-year-old international student in Sarnia.

Investigators anticipate releasing further details about the case on Tuesday, as the community grapples with the shock and sorrow of this devastating event. The quiet peace of Lambton Shores has been shattered, leaving a lasting impact on all who call it home.
