SHERIFF BETRAYS VICTIM: Killer Freed, Justice SHATTERED!

SHERIFF BETRAYS VICTIM: Killer Freed, Justice SHATTERED!

Thanksgiving morning shattered for one San Diego family when 11-year-old Aiden Antonio Torres De Paz darted into the street, chasing a runaway soccer ball. A vehicle struck him, and the driver fled, leaving Aiden fighting for his life.

Aiden succumbed to his injuries on Thanksgiving Day, transforming a holiday of gratitude into one of unimaginable grief. The driver, identified as Hector Balderas-Aheelor, was later arrested in connection with the devastating hit-and-run in Escondido.

Federal authorities swiftly issued an immigration detainer for Balderas-Aheelor, requesting that he be held pending potential deportation. This request, however, was denied by the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office.

The Sheriff’s Office stated its decision stemmed from California law, specifically the California Values Act, which limits cooperation with federal immigration enforcement. A review of Balderas-Aheelor’s criminal history preceded the rejection of the detainer.

Details emerging from the Department of Homeland Security reveal a troubling pattern. Balderas-Aheelor had been previously removed from the United States not once, not twice, but four times before the fatal incident.

A DHS official expressed profound sorrow and outrage, stating that a family’s Thanksgiving was irrevocably marred by the actions of someone who had repeatedly violated U.S. immigration laws. The official emphasized the devastating consequences of allowing such individuals to remain in the country.

The official further highlighted that Balderas-Aheelor chose to re-enter the country illegally a fifth time, ultimately leading to the tragic death of a young boy. Concerns were raised that “sanctuary laws” could potentially allow the suspect to be released.

A call for action was directed towards California’s governor, urging him to prioritize public safety and honor the federal immigration detainer. The request centered on ensuring the suspect faced full accountability for his actions.

A spokesperson for the governor responded, asserting that California law does not impede federal authorities from fulfilling their duties. The spokesperson emphasized that the driver must be held responsible for the tragic hit-and-run, and acknowledged a federal failure to apprehend the suspect upon his unlawful re-entry.

The case has ignited a fierce debate surrounding immigration policy and the balance between local and federal authority. At the heart of the controversy remains the loss of a young life and a family’s enduring pain.
